Introduction
"Look among the nations and watch and be
utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not
believe, though it were told to you," (Habakkuk 1:5)
The Lord is doing a work in our day that is
beyond anything we could have imagined. The presence of the King and His
Kingdom is breaking into communities bringing salvation, healing and
restoration. Without exception, the transformation occurring in the nations
is taking place within a context of restored covenant with God. Reports of
God displaying His extravagant love, mercy and power have provoked many of us
to press in to consider the spiritual condition of our own nation.
At the beginning of the year the Lord spoke
to our team clearly that He wanted us to begin to preach boldly the gospel of
the Kingdom of God and the impact His Kingdom has on
communities. He challenged us to believe Him for a breakthrough in our own
nation and to give ourselves in a fresh abandonment to the transformation
process.
It has been a challenging year in many
regards but we are seeing breakthrough in several communities. The presence
and glory of God ARE drawing near to us in the United States, He is preparing
His people for His presence. The dreams and visions are become realities. And
though this process is challenging to our status quo, compromised culture in
the Church, the reality of God drawing near to us has provided sufficient
motivation to many leaders to abandon themselves in a fresh way to the King
and His approaching Kingdom.
It has been a whirlwind of travel as the
Lord has begun to breakthrough we are clearly in a new day, an urgent
day. We need your prayers more than
ever! We have experienced a tremendous increase in spiritual warfare as we
began to preach the message of the Kingdom and Covenant. Our families have
been attacked in serious, life-threatening ways, our finances are barely
covering our expenses, we are living on the edge but we know Jesus is with
us, right in the middle of the storm and that keeps our hearts alive and
filled with courage!
Kingdom &
Covenant
"If My people who are called
by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear their prayer, forgive their
sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
We are seeing the fruit of renewed covenant
with God in hundreds of communities today. As leaders have gathered together,
humbling themselves, seeking God and turning from their wicked ways and
renewed their covenant relationship with Him, God has heard their cry and
responded in remarkable, supernatural ways. God says, "If My people
will
then I will
."
Transformation is a hot
topic in the Church today! Many
people are asking questions such as, "Why doesn't
God come here and visit my community?"
"Are we in the Western World even on
heaven's revival radar?" "Why isn't the Church
relevant or 'working'?" "Are our prayers
being heard?" "Have
we missed the hour of our visitation?"
There is genuine confusion in the Church why
we are not experiencing revival and transformation. We have several options
in this season. We can pray harder and just hope
God comes. Or we can theologize why God hasn't
come to us and explain away any remaining hope for breakthrough
Or we can begin to prepare ourselves for His
glorious arrival by posturing our hearts in humility and become "learners" (not "experts") gleaning from
what God is doing today in the nations. The clear Biblical "prescription" and process we see bringing transformation and healing
to communities in the nations is 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Transformation
is the fruit of God's "resting presence". We see in the nations God coming and
"resting" in communities where the people have restored their covenant
relationship with God and each other. In other words, God's presence dwelling
among people is directly related to covenant with Him. In our nation, our
covenant-breaking culture has resulted in a lack of His presence and that has
impacted not only our lives and congregations but our communities as well.
No matter how hard
we try to convince Him with all of our fanfare, well-planned events and
presentation, God is not budging He is not going to give us revival on our
terms or add His glory to our idolatry and immorality. He will not rest in a
defiled temple.
God's Word
establishes clear principles regarding His presence. There are things that
prepare for and welcome the presence of the Lord, for example, prayer, unity,
worship, and a broken and contrite spirit. There are also things that cause
Him to withdraw or remain at a distance. Understanding that, we must concern
ourselves with preparing a place for the habitation of God.
The Lord is calling
His Church to return to covenant relationship with Him, to leave their
immorality, idolatry and wicked ways inside
the Church. As we begin to prepare ourselves for His presence and prepare our
communities as a habitation for the glory and presence of God, He will begin
to draw near to us just like He is drawing near with His healing mercy and
power in the nations!
Ministry Highlights
January/February
England Rhonda met with leaders in Guilford
to plan the upcoming Conference in July.
She also met with the citywide intercessors about partnering in prayer
with transformation in the nations specifically the assignment to cover the Denmark
trip.
Denmark From England,
Rhonda went to Denmark
ministering in two regional Pursuing Presence Seminars. Additionally, she taught in a national
Bible college with a gathering of prayer leaders from around the nation.
J-Term Intensive The Fusion team taught a 4-day intensive on the Biblical Principals
of Revival and Transformation at the Forerunner School of Ministry in Kansas City. Sixty
people enrolled from Kansas City
and around the nation for the class to learn & discuss the topic of
revival and transformation in their own communities. This was a powerful 4 days.
An Unconventional
War Premiere Fusion Ministries premiered George Otis,
Jr.'s latest transformations documentary on Uganda
in several cities in the U.S.
in the months of January and February including the following cities: Topeka, KS; Council Bluffs, IA; Kansas City, MO; Rockford, IL; Richmond, VA.
April/May
Omaha Pastor's Retreat The Fusion team traveled to Omaha, NE to speak to 170 pastors from the Omaha
area on the topic of revival, transformation and the Kingdom of God. Rhonda and Wes preached fiery messages for
2 days, resulting in an explosive meeting full of fire, truth and
revelation. Many hearts and ministries
were forever changed.
Global Day of Prayer Kansas City
participated in the Global Day of Prayer, and Rhonda joined other leaders to
lead this prayer meeting of a couple thousand participants. This was a historic gathering, possibly the
largest prayer gathering in history, with a half-billion people from 198
nations crying out to the Lord for His glory to fill the earth unto
transformation.
Little
Rock, AR Rhonda ministered at a citywide gathering for presence-based
transformation and met with leaders for a leadership consultation.
June
Fiji - International
Transformation Summit Rhonda traveled to Fiji
to a gathering hosted by George Otis, Jr. to meet with international leaders
of the transformation movement from many nations. For first hand accounts and live footage, click
the link on the side bar.
Fiji - Healing the Land Tour Following the Summit,
Rhonda visited several transformed villages, even staying overnight in one
village. This was a life-changing time
for her to once again experience the transcendent nature of the Kingdom of God as it is manifest on earth. For first hand accounts and live footage, click
the link on the side bar.
Redemption Ministries Youth Camp Cristina ministered at a week-long teen camp in Virginia.
The camp was a powerful time of encountering Jesus, deliverance &
healing. For the full report, click
the link on the side bar.
July
England Rhonda traveled to England
again, meeting with key leaders in England
and ministering in citywide meetings in Guilford. She also ministered at a leaders' retreat
in London for
100 leaders, hosted by the "Deborah Company."
Denmark Rhonda spoke at 2 national denominational gatherings in Denmark, bringing a powerful word of
encouragement of God's glory moving through the earth in transforming revival
and challenging the Church in Denmark
to rise up and partner in covenant with Jesus to call His Church back to
Himself. Denmark
is about 1% believers and very dark and the Lord is jealous for His people
and their land to know His love, mercy and power. The second conference was
with the Lutheran
Church which accounts
for 95% or so of Danish people. Rhonda's message in this context lead to a
confrontation with church leaders that lead to her being stopped from
speaking and caused quite an uproar. Important dialogue with these leaders
about transformation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, hundreds of hungry people encountered Jesus and young
people were envisioned for revival for their generation.
Arctic Cristina
traveled to Pangnirtung, Nunavut
in the circumpolar region of northern Canada. She joined the Fijian Healing the Land
Team, and Roger & Marge Armbruster, transformation associates in
Canada to go through the process of 2
Chronicles 7:14 in the community.
Cristina was able to experience the process first-hand involved
leading up to transformation. This
trip was life-changing, bringing new insight to the team.
J-Term Intensive The Fusion team taught a second, impacting intensive class on the
Biblical Principals of Revival and Transformation. Rhonda and Wes taught for 5 days followed
up with discussion and community application.
August
St. Louis Pray Conference The Fusion team ministered at this 2-day conference on revival,
transformation and the Kingdom
of God. The event was definitely an explosion as
Rhonda and Wes preached on the Kingdom
of God, followed by
Cristina giving a message for young adults.
Pablo Perez led worship and blew the roof off the place
literally. Steve Freeman shared
important insight in the journey towards building covenant relationships in
our communities.
North Omaha, NE The Fusion team ministered in the North Omaha
"Village" at a 2-day village-wide gathering
and leaders' consultation to discuss covenant with God and
transformation. Pablo led worship
again and God drew near to us in a tangible way. This event was the most
powerful encounter with a remnant of people we have seen in a community where
the leaders have prepared themselves for several months by humbling
themselves, repenting to one another and therefore creating a "prepared
place" for the Lord to rest among them. We are very excited about what the
Lord is doing in this community! It has many similarities of a Fijian
transformation testimony in the early stages.
September
Virginia The Fusion team traveled to Virginia
to minister at to two gatherings. The
first was a regional leadership gathering, discussing the issue of covenant
with God. Our nation will be
celebrating our 400 year anniversary in May 2007 in Jamestown,
the first settlement in the United
States. The leaders in the region are
earnestly seeking the Lord for how to prepare themselves for this important
anniversary. Our team has been very focused on serving the leaders in Virginia in this
process to prepare the Church to re-covenant with the Lord spiritually before
the fanfare and big celebration events occur. The second event was a
conference in Williamsburg focused on revival,
transformation and the Kingdom
of God. It was a
sobering and challenging word about moving from the rhetoric of revival to
taking the real, necessary steps to return to the Lord as a people. The impact of the two events was deep as
the leaders from the region considered moving forward together towards
restored covenant with God.
Upcoming Events
England Rhonda and Cristina
will travel to England
Oct. 3-11th for a Transformation Conference and citywide
leadership consultation. The purpose of this event is to birth a national
vision for presence-based transformation in the nation, to impart this
passion to hundreds of young adults in a gathering on Saturday night and
identify a team of leaders to prepare for a national conference with George
Otis, and the Fusion team in the Fall of 2007.
National Transformation Summit - Nov.
16th - 19th Fusion Ministries will host a
transformation summit of leaders from around the nation in partnership with
the Sentinel Group and the International House of Prayer-KC to discuss the
role of covenant with God in transforming revival. Speakers will include the Fusion team,
George Otis, Jr. and John Mulinde. For
