Brazil – A Nation
Crying Out For Transformation!
In June, The Sentinel Group and the
Int’l Fellowship of Transformation Partners (IFTP) are hosting a gathering in
response to tremendous spiritual hunger for transformation in Brazil. Brazil
has been in active revival for decades with now over 300 million born again
believers now in South America! That is more than the entire population of the
United States!
For several months the Brazil Prayer
Network comprised of 30,000 intercessors including 1,300 houses of prayer and
27 prayer towers have been praying! In addition, prayer networks are praying in
South Africa, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and others are
praying for God to move in power to spread the fire of transformation to the
nations at this event!
A Note From George Otis…
“In a few short weeks, hundreds of leaders from every sector of Brazilian
society will gather in the city of Belo Horizonte for a unique eight-day summit
sponsored by The Sentinel Group. The purpose of this gathering, called Torchlight
2008, is to provide principle-based instruction on the process of transforming revival.
Presenters will include some of the worlds most
articulate and experienced revival catalysts.
In all of my years of ministry I have never seen so many busy officials
rearrange their calendars to attend a spiritual event. This includes key
elected officials from the federal, state and local levels, corporate CEO’s,
senior police commanders, major media figures, and a wide range of national
church leaders. There is an overwhelming eagerness to learn more about God’s
capacity to bring practical solutions to troubled Brazilian communities and
institutions.
For eight days in June we will have a nation’s ear. It is an extraordinary
opportunity—and a sobering responsibility.
The Brazilian delegates will be
joined at Torchlight 2008 by transformation advocates from every corner
of the world. These individuals, key leaders in their own right, are equally
anxious to welcome a visitation of the Lord. After absorbing the teaching in
Belo Horizonte they plan to translate the entire package (which will be
professionally video taped) and then distribute it
within their respective regions.
Think of it. By next year we could
have 40 hours of world-class revival teaching lighting spiritual fires in
Mandarin, Portuguese, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Spanish, German, Korean,
Farsi, and Arabic. And that is just a short list of probable languages.”
Rhonda serves on the IFTP leadership
team and will be one of 9 Transformation Associates teaching at this curriculum
training event. What an opportunity to share the revelation the Lord has been
giving to Fusion Ministries through this exciting new curriculum to be sown
into the nations!
Following the Leadership Training
Conference, Rhonda will stay in Brazil for an additional week to travel and
minister with Fijian Chief, Vuniani. They will travel
to the state of Rio de Janiero to speak to over 400
hundred pastors representing every denomination. The leaders are so hungry and
are preparing in prayer. They are expecting the pastors’ event in Rio to spread
the message and hope of transformation like a wildfire across their region!
Consider the possibility of a nation
prepared with decades of revival fire to now move into the
reality of transformation – Lord rend the heavens and come down!
The knowledge of the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as
the waters cover the sea! (Hab. 2:14)
A Call to Purity
In April, the Lord spoke to us
clearly about confronting the “giant” of sexual immorality in preparation for
transformation in communities. According to God’s Word, sexual immorality is a primary reason God’s presence remains at a distance – it must be confronted with zeal
for righteousness but with tender-hearted mercy.
In the same way the Lord “birthed”
the Divine Experiment, He spoke to us about preparing a booklet to clarify this
issue for believers so they can contend for righteousness in their lives and
families, congregations and community! Because of the prevalence and
pervasiveness of this issue in our culture, the Church has adopted the world’s
perspective and is not clear what the Bible says or why this is such a serious
issue with God. We cannot afford to ignore this issue in the Church any longer
– God is sounding a trumpet! We must prepare ourselves for His
presence and that means rooting out immoral sexual activity out of the temple
of God!

Summer Help Needed!
Last year this time we were facing a huge mountain - $20,000 to bring the
Fijian Healing the Land Team to the United States to take the FIRST AMERICAN
COMMUNITY through the transformation process. That commitment required
everything we had as a team, it was costly, but it was glorious! God moved that
mountain and now we have not just one community but 5 that are on the road to
transformation. Praise God for His faithfulness!
This year we are facing another
financial mountain – and we need your help! The Lord is asking us to commit to
2 huge projects for the summer, a time when ministry is always financially “lean”.
Wes and I are not strangers to walking by faith in our mission but we
know we are not called to walk alone, God invites
others to invest and sow into what He is doing in the transformation movement.
- Brazil -
sowing our message into the international transformation curriculum is a
huge commitment for us in terms of time and finances. Our need: $1,000 for
my miscellaneous expenses and $3,000 to cover our payroll shortage while I’m
in Brazil.
- Covenant
Book - We also need to finish our
book on Covenant. The Lord is urging us, interacting with us, speaking so
clearly about this message! But we want to finish the book and publish
this summer. Again, that requires a focus for us to stay home and not
travel, resulting in an additional reduction of finances.
Our current financial support provides only half of our needed financial
resources, when we don’t travel and generate offerings, etc. we have to live on
our monthly missionary support. That means that our 3 staff (Wes, myself and
our Office Manager, Marie) has to trust God to make up the balance of the
$4,000 per month we are short so we can pay our bills.
We are a small, very specialized
transformation mission. We don’t do fundraising campaigns, we don’t gear any of our ministry activity based on financial benefit, we don’t have big donors or a large support base. We live by faith and trust Jesus
to provide through those that believe in the call and ministry of Fusion
Ministries.
We need an additional $12,000
to make it through the summer months to make our payroll while I am ministering
in Brazil and we are finishing our book.
Those of you who currently support
Wes and I are making it possible for this ministry to continue and prepare
communities for transforming revival. We thank God for your investment
and the fruit coming from communities! Would you consider increasing your
support this summer by even a small amount? Everything right now is such a big
help for us!
